QNET Georgia Office Officially Opens for Business

In a sign of the growing network in the greater middle Eastern region, QNET officially opened its new agency office in the Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia.

Cake cutting and celebrations were overseen by visiting QNET Executives and numerous VIPs including Georgia’a Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mrs. Ketevan Botchorishvili who was joined by several other distinguished Government and business representatives.

The downtown Tbilisi office is now the main support centre for QNET in Georgia and will help raise our profile in neighbouring countries too.

As well as customer support, the local agency is ready to provide training for QNET Independent Representatives (IRs) to ensure they are well-trained on the business ethics of correct network marketing, business planning and product knowledge.

Currently, there are about 2,000 registered IRs of QNET in the country – mainly in Kutaisi, Batumi and Tbilisi cities and the very first distributors joined the company in 2010.

QNET among First to Receive Exclusive URL that will Change the Internet Forever

QNET has secured its own top-level domain .quest, one of only a few hundred companies in the world to be part of the first wave what will eventually transform almost every URL on the Internet.

QNET Chief Information Officer Malcolm Chiu formed part of a panel discussing about the new generic top-level domains (gTLDs) at the Asia Pacific Digital Marketing & gTLD Strategy Congress in Hong Kong last week.

SEE ALSO: We’ve Got you Covered with World Class IT and Customer Support

Malcolm found himself in esteemed company, having the privilege of sitting alongside Senior Legal Counsel Karen Law from Alibaba, the Chinese eCommerce site which by some measures is the biggest online commerce company in the world.

“I am very excited that we have applied for our very own .quest top-level domain, it’s a hybrid of QNET’s global brand and global community. We really look forward to taking full advantage of this for our IRs moving forward,” says Malcolm.

One of the speakers at the Congress, Roland LaPlante from Afilias said in his address that the new top-level domains are a game changer.

“In the future, all companies will want to own their brand domain and move all their online presence there where they have full control. The companies who get their own gTLD in this first round will have a tremendous advantage over the companies who follow which will at least be 24 months away if not more,” said Roland.

QNET has already begun thinking about how it will use the .quest domain but you’re not likely to see it anywhere before early 2015.

QNET Felicitates Mr. Narayanan Krishnan for Akshaya Home

Akshaya Home provides shelter, food and care to around 400 destitute and homeless in-andaround Madurai

QNET, a pioneer in e-commerce based direct selling, through its CSR arm RYTHM Foundation today felicitated Mr. Narayanan Krishnan, a CNN top ten hero for the year 2010 for his tireless effort in providing shelter, food and care for the helpless, homeless, sick, elderly, mentally-ill and destitute in-and-around Madurai in Tamil Nadu.

Mr. Krishnan is an Indian chef-turned-social worker who has pursued this cause for over a decade now and recently, through donations received from various organizations, inaugurated the Akshaya Home spread over a 60,000 sq.ft. area campus in Nagartheertham, Kodimangalam village, Madurai on the 9th of May 2013. RYTHM foundation donated a total of USD 65,000 to further this mission. In recognition of  this donation, Mr. Krishnan named the block housing the kitchen, dining and store-room as ‘RYTHM Block’. Ms. Donna Imson, Executive Chairperson of QNET and also a Trustee for RYTHM foundation felicitated Mr. Krishnan by awarding him a ‘Certificate-of-Merit’ today after a guided tour of the facility housing over 400 residents.

Mr. Krishnan was awarded QNET’s V-RYTHM Award in 2011, a prize given to humanitarians that pitomize charity, compassion and mercy. He promptly announced he would spend the USD 25,000 award money to complete construction of the facility. Shortly afterwards, Ms. Imson visited Madurai to spend a day feeding the homeless alongside Mr. Krishnan, and QNET pledged to pay the additional USD 40,000 in building costs required. Speaking on the occasion Mr. Narayanan Krishnan said, “I am equally touched and encouraged by this gesture. The donations received from QNET’s RYTHM foundation helped us complete the block that houses the kitchen, dining and store-room areas measuring 3,000 sq.ft. where we serve three meals and tea to over 400 people every day. Ms. Donna’s visit after the formal inauguration in May earlier is indicative of the active interest QNET has in our purpose.” Also speaking on the occasion Ms. Donna Imson commented, “From the first time we met Narayanan Krishnan, we have been humbled by the impact one man’s actions can have on the community. His selflessness, dedication and commitment to serving others are truly inspiring. Krishnan is truly making a difference and we are happy that QNET is in a position to help him do more.”For more information about how to help Mr. Krishnan and Akshaya ease the suffering of Madurai’s most needy street people, please visit: www.akshayatrust.org

Regain your Skin’s Youthfulness with Physio Radiance ReplenisH

Replenish and protect your skin from ageing with the new Physio Radiance ReplenisH -- a 4 step skin rejuvenation system that helps your skin self-regulate, selfregenerate and self-repair naturally. A 100% hypoallergenic, advanced skin care range, Physio Radiance ReplenisH contains Negative Hydrogen (H-) - the world’s smallest and most effective anti-oxidant, along with a select group of highly penetrative active ingredients that strengthen your skin at cellular, intercellular and organ levels. Unlike other skin-care products in the market, Physio Radiance ReplenisH is absolutely free from dangerous parabens, preservatives and other toxic ingredients, making it an effective, yet safe method to smoothen wrinkles and to keep your skin looking naturally younger. Introduced and marketed by QNET in India exclusively through QNET Independent Representatives -Physio Radiance ReplenisH range has been researched, developed and produced by Laboratoires Schwartz, France. The Physio Radiance ReplenisH skin-care regimen comprises four simple steps to a healthy glowing skin

Step 1 –Clean your skin with the creamy Comfort Emulsion Cleanser which emulsifies on contact
with damp skin, leaving it feeling clean, soft and fresh, even enhancing your complexion in just a
matter of seconds.

Step 2 –Tone and re-mineralize your skin with the Remineralising Toner Lotion which freshens
and prepares your skin for further treatment.

extreme concentration of powerful, anti-aging active ingredients.

Physio Radiance ReplenisH utilizes body’s own functions to stimulate the natural rejuvenation of the skin. Free radicals in our bodies oxidize molecules and DNA by stealing electrons to become stable, ageing the molecules in the process. The powerful anti-oxidant properties of Negative Hydrogen (H-) neutralizes these free radicals and slows the skin’s natural ageing process. It also acts as an energy booster to skin cells by providing spare electrons needed for cellular energy production. The higher energy makes your skin blossom and performs at its best. The Negative Hydrogen (H-) in the product is protected from temperature and contamination through a patented microencapsulation technology which encases it in small hydrophobic balls, fitted into state-of-the-art airless bottles.Physio Radiance ReplenisH uses hypo-allergens of the highest standards to protect the skin from the harmful effects of pollution such as allergies and rashes. Vijay Eswaran Gives Keynote Speech at World Muslim Leadership Forum

QNET’s very own  Vijay Eswaran was a keynote speaker at the second World Muslim Leadership Forum held in London on 26 September 2012, where he delivered a thought-provoking speech entitled, “The New Hope for the Next Generation”.

The World Muslim Leadership Forum connects the leaders of today and tomorrow to discuss and debate issues that affect the global Muslim community and its future. The forum also highlights positive government initiatives and leadership, as well as the contributions of Muslims from across the globe.

In line with this year’s theme, ‘World Muslim Leaders: The Next Generation’,  Vijay Eswaran spoke about the importance of soft power — the ability to achieve desired outcomes by co-opting people instead of coercing them.

“It takes great courage to be a great moderate,” said  Vijay Eswaran, emphasising on the need for people to co-exist peacefully. He pointed out how soft power was exercised by famous Muslim leaders of the past: Saladin (founder of the Ayyubid dynasty) defeated his enemies yet won their respect through his honourable deeds; Akbar the Great treated religious leaders of non-Muslim faiths with much consideration.

Vijay Eswaran went on to cite his home country of Malaysia as a classic role model of a gentler Islam, having embraced a culture of welcoming in a borderless world. “’I leave the doors open to all winds of the world, but I let my feet remain embedded in my motherland,’” he stated, quoting Gandhi.

When asked about his thoughts on media from an Islamic perspective,  Vijay Eswaran replied, “Media (and social media) today has become the fastest way to communicate, an instantaneous way to engage people. The youth of today have opportunities to become successful if they were gaged by what they make of themselves. With the power of media and technology at your disposal, it’s all about ‘you’ and how you empower yourself to better yourself.”

The forum also explored other topics by renowned speakers, such as H.E. Shaukat Aziz, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan; and Lauren Booth, an English broadcaster and journalist.

Vijay Eswaran helms a business empire that spans the globe

Vijay Eswaran helms a business empire that spans the globe, but the Mahatma’s principles are among his most treasured possessions

He is a Malaysian by nationality and prefixes his name with the title “Dato’”, the equivalent of a knighthood, bestowed in Malaysia. But what is most striking about the man is his claim that he follows the principles of “ahimsa” (although it technically means non-violence, the scope of this connotation is widened to include ethical behaviour) which Mahatma Gandhi, the apostle of peace, not only preached but also practised.

The entrepreneur says he practises Gandhian principles even in today’s corporate world, known for its dog-eat-dog notoriety, where ethics tend to recede into the background and profits reign supreme.Meet 52-year-old Vijay Eswaran, a Malaysian of Indian descent, who has set up a business empire that stretches across many parts of the world. He was recently in New York to receive the New Global Indian (NGI) award for business excellence and philanthropy from the global Indian diaspora that descended on New York for the gargantuan Global India Business Meet (GIBM) 2012. Penang-born Eswaran is also an author, speaker and philanthropist.

He graduated with a degree in socio-economics from the London School of Economics in 1984. Thereafter he stayed on in Europe for a year and did several odd jobs. In 1986, he obtained an MBA from the Southern Illinois University. Finally, Eswaran worked towards creating his own business; he is today the executive chairman of the QI group, founded in 1998, an e-commerce based conglomerate with businesses diversified into retail and direct sales, technology, lifestyle and leisure, luxury and collectibles, education, training and conference management, property development and logistics.

The QI Group has regional offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, besides having a presence in nearly 30 countries through a wide range of subsidiary companies. The chairman of the Council of Quest International University in Malaysia, Eswaran is also on the advisory board of the Global Business Council and Corporate Malaysia Roundtable. In addition to the GIBM award conferred on him, Eswaran was given the Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year award at the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Award 2012. He arrived in New York as one of Forbes Asia’s top 48 philanthropists.

Vijay Eswaran- Qnet Founder Eswaran Extolled, Vilified as Readers Weigh In

Our November story on Vijay Eswaran (“Selling a Better Life”), who makes the Malaysian Rich List for the first time, at No. 25, prompted an outpouring of reader reaction. It’s drawn more than 35,000 views online and 167 comments, and nearly 5,000 people had shared it on Facebook as of February 22. Most of the feedback was full of praise. Some of it was downright slanderous, not only toward his multilevel marketing company, Qnet, but also toward FORBES ASIA.

Vijay is one of the most incredible, successful entrepreneurs in the world,” according to Mohamed Abdullah, posting a comment. Egidius Mwabuki said, “Unbelievable!! … with this, business life has changed. I have started to dream again and my dreams have begun to come true one after another.” Prashant Sharma offers, “Big thanks to  Vijay” and compares Eswaran with Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa and the like. Qnet executives logged on as well; so did a number of academics in a debate on whether any such company that enlists an army of independent representatives to pitch its products to friends and neighbors can be a legitimate business.

Others had a darker view. Pawan Sood said, “One doesn’t need to be a rocket scientist to figure out why Qnet is a scam.” Juliet Thomsen goes further: “Wow!!! FORBES promoting a fraud; I guess true journalism is indeed dead.” And Ashu Dutt claims, “Qnet openly uses your article to mislead people on their credibility. … Hundreds of homes have been destroyed.” He didn’t provide evidence.

Sucheta Dalal, an Indian financial journalist who crusades against scams and promotes workshops on how to avoid them, made the most of our story, flatly calling Eswaran’s company a fraud in her Moneylife blog. In a Twitter post she laments, “It’s pathetic how Qnet is leading people to financial ruin.” And in another she suggested we had been bribed to run the story. We offered her a chance to make her case by debating Eswaran’s chief lawyer online. She ridiculed the offer and refused to accept it.

E-learning and network marketing go hand in hand at QNET

Majority of our female students are from MENA region, says QNET
The President of Harvard University once said, "If you think education is expensive - try ignorance." Any career necessitates a lifetime commitment to what you do, and that means a commitment to a lifetime of learning. This is perhaps the reason for the explosive growth of the e-learning industry around the world. According to a report by GSV Advisors from Silicon Valley, the global eLearning market is estimated to grow at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 23% over the next three years, at which time its value will exceed $255 billion by 2017.

Access to education has never been more convenient, and the beauty of it is that learning is now an experience that can truly be shared with people across the world. It doesn't matter who you are or where you are from--or what age you are--if there's something you would like to learn about, you can do so anytime you like.

As the eLearning market continues to grow from strength to strength, so too does another young industry in the region-direct selling. The World Federation of Direct Selling Associations (WFDSA) which represents direct selling associations from more than 60 countries, reports that the market size of the industry globally grew 5 per cent last year to hit US$154 billion in sales. Globally, approximately 90 million people are involved in the direct selling business. Therefore it won't come as any great surprise that both these sectors are helping each other grow.

QNET, the prominent Asian direct selling company, is seeing growing demand for its online education programs offered under the brand Swiss eLearning, across a wide range of demographics in the MENA region.

The courses designed by the Swiss Management Centre (SMC) University, accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs and ranked No.3 in Europe for online education by Newsweek magazine, range from academic programs such as the Accelerated Bachelor of Business Administration and the Accredited Online MBA program to non-academic niche courses in e-Commerce, Entrepreneurship, Presentation and Communication Skills, Career Design, Marketing and The Art of Management.

"E-learning is becoming increasingly popular across the region'" says Haldun Arin, , QNET's Chief Operating Officer "I recently read a report that the industry has experienced 8.2% annual growth and has generated approximately USD 443 million in 2013 in the Middle East."

"Our e-learning courses are the second most popular purchase in the MENA region. In Egypt alone around 4000 persons subscribed to our education products" added Arin. The framework of the Swiss eLearning Programs are based on the concept of 'continuing education'; a post-secondary education programme that is set up to provide further enrichment, whether professionally or personally.

"Our programs focus on relevancy, blending theoretical knowledge with applied practice, and a feedback loop to reinforce the continued effectiveness of the curriculum. The courses are designed to enhance business and communication skills, two important criteria for the direct selling professional.", says Arin.

QNET recognizes that a strictly structured, tightly framed environment like that of a traditional university or classroom setting is not the most suitable for the dynamic and busy schedules of direct selling professionals.

"As a result of the fast-paced lifestyle, there is little time left to fit in the things we would like to do, especially with regards to education." says Arin. "That is why we partnered with SMC University to launch the eLearning programsso that our distributors can gain two-fold benefits from this. Firstly, they gain knowledge and secondly by promoting the courses to others, they create an income stream for themselves."

Studies have also indicated that general offline enrollment ratios for females in the Middle East and Egypt are generally lower than males. In Egypt there is as much as 20% lower female enrollment than males with higher dropout rates due to social and traditional barriers. One striking benefit of online education options for women in the Middle East is the idea that e-learning programs can sidestep many social barriers. With increasing Internet penetration in the MENA region reaching 43% in Egypt, e-learning is becoming very popular with women who want the flexibility to learn from home.

"At QNET, we were pleasantly surprised to find a large number of female students subscribing for our e-learning courses from the region." Added Arin.

eLearning pioneers expect that the new age of education will allow learning to truly "blend with our everyday activities". The World Economic Forum has even listed eLearning as one of the top technology trends for 2014.

QNET and Marussia Welcome you to F1 2014!

F1-AUSTRALIAN_MainMenu-850x365

The holidays are over and it’s time to knuckle down! No, we’re not talking about getting out there and doing more presentations to make the most of Go For Gold. We’re talking about this weekend! The brakes are off for the start of the 2014 Formula 1 World Championship and you are centre-stage with QNET as we rally behind our team, Marussia!

The curtain-raiser takes place in Melbourne, Australia and our team is ready for it, bouyed by a strong result in last year’s competition and a new car with a Ferrari engine!

We’ve often gloated that we’re the only direct selling company in the race and so, even though we have staunchly followed Marussia for the past couple of years, it would be unsurprising if some haven’t taken the time to learn more about the crazy world of Formula 1. Well, here we are at the start of the season, now is the time to engage!

Pre-Season Highlight

Pre-Season training and testing of the new car, MR-03, has come to a conclusion with 1777.54 kms and 334 laps under the belt heading into Melbourne. But testing was not without a glitche after the car developed an electrical problem as the result of a computer virus in Bahrain, putting our boys on the backfoot. Nonetheless, we powered through to finish in 7th position on the final day, not a bad come back!

2014 Regulations

After a holiday of massive regulation changes, this weekend promises to be a hugely unpredictable race in Australia. A sentiment echoed by Driver Max Chilton.

“The new regulations have been a challenge up and down the pit lane and although we have experienced a few issues along the way, we’ve also made a lot of progress. I don’t want to make any predictions because we won’t really know where we stand until qualifying and the race, but I’m feeling very optimistic,” says Max.

So networkers, put on your seat-belts because she’s gonna be a beauty!

Qnet- Max, Ferrari and Sochi – Rock on 2014 F1 with QNET and Marussia!

max-chilton-marussia-qnetMarussia Formula 1 team, sponsored byQNET, is busy getting all its ducks in a row for the 2014 season with the huge news that driver, MaxChilton, has signed for a second season alongside also returning driver, Jules Bianchi.

Max is extremely happy to be carrying on with Marussia.

“Continuity is important for the Team but also for me as a driver. You learn such a lot in your debut season, but the second year is when you pull all of those experiences together and show your true potential. That has always been the case for me in the junior categories and I’ll be aiming for a similar step in my second year of F1 competition.”

While the drivers stay the same, there is one exciting change; this upcoming season the team partners with Scuderia Ferrari to receive an engine, energy recovery system and transmission from the most successful engine manufacturer in Formula One history!

Marussia is a young and ambitious Anglo-Russian challenger with more to look forward to this year. Not only will the team return to home turf at Silverstone, Great Britain, in July but for the first time ever, Russia is joining the circuit with a Grand Prix in Sochi in October.

Formula 1 is currently on hiatus until the 2014 season kicks off in Australia on 14 March. So much to look forward to with QNET and Marussia this year, stay tuned!
